(formerly Updating and Resubmitting EPA Risk Management Plans)
Course Description
Comply with EPA’s Risk Management Program Rule
Learn how to evaluate and update your existing risk management plan (RMPlan) to comply with the 5-year resubmission requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA's) risk management program (RMP) rule (40 CFR 68).
Five-Year Updates Required
If you own a facility that was required to submit an RMPlan to EPA to comply with 40 CFR 68, you are required to submit a revised RMPlan to EPA no later than 5 years after your initial RMPlan submission. If you submitted your initial RMPlan in June 1999 and your first revised RMPlan during the first or second quarter of 2004, your second revised RMPlan will need to be submitted during the first or second quarter of 2009.
